Technology fostering meaningful public engagement

Domain7 in partnership with The District of North Vancouver and industry experts, undertook the journey of creating a digital platform to empower healthy community engagement to co-create a sustainable future together.

Through stakeholder engagement and user collaboration we created a web-based, inclusive and accessible platform that provides interactive participation tools, conversation threads with AI moderation, and ideation tools, participation and engagement reports, and educational information, visualizations, and dynamic project updates, enabling users to easily engage, inform and collaborate with their communities.

The platform proved to be so successful that it was acquired by ZenCity after only one year of being launched.

Research & Discovery

Designing the engagement platform from the ground up. Creating an intuitive, user-friendly admin view, where organizations can create and publish information about their projects, and engagements that are open for community participation.

Building in tools that facilitated interactive participation with AI moderated conversation threads and idea generation boards. Participation reports, results visualizations and dynamic insights empowered organizations to conduct meaningful engagement with its citizens.

We designed a flexible and scalable citizen facing system that could be customized to match the individual organizations look and feel, and adapt their differing needs.

This enabled organizations to share the details and progress of their projects with the public and provide a gateway for engagement and feedback.
