A co-created digital redesign for a global health powerhouse
Domain7 partnered with the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) to revamp their digital presence and address challenges posed by outdated technology.
The project aimed to authentically convey LSHTM's excellence while maintaining its culture of modesty and ensuring global access. The collaboration led to a bold redesigned website with a unique tile-based structure inspired by the school's historical roots and modern innovation.
We also focused on improving search functionality, navigation, and content categorization to make information accessible and user-friendly. LSHTM's specialized research centers were also integrated into a shared architecture, allowing for flexibility and independence while maintaining a cohesive digital identity.

Research
We had the opportunity to dive into the discovery phase on-site at the school, where we immersed ourselves in the client's environment, absorbing insights that informed the project's direction.
Through active engagement with the client, stakeholders, and users, we gained a comprehensive understanding of objectives, aspirations, and the end-user needs. Collaborative workshops served as dynamic platforms for idea exchange, allowing diverse perspectives to be heard, converge and align.
By bringing all of this research together, we designed a user experience that seamlessly blends the client's vision, stakeholder considerations, and user expectations, resulting in a website that resonates authentically while fulfilling its functional and aesthetic purpose.
Visual design and UI explorations were defined through styleboard exercises to elevate the brand and push their digital presence into a new bold and courageous direction.
The visual direction that we created for the website was then used to roll out a broader brand refresh across other marketing and communication channels.
